Chef Select White Alum, commonly known as Phitkari, is a translucent crystalline mineral composed of potassium aluminium sulfate. Alum stone is traditionally used externally as an astringent grooming product after shaving and as an unscented mineral deodorant. The crystal is water-soluble and should be kept dry between uses. This product is not culinary salt, medicine or a substitute for properly regulated drinking-water treatment.
